Three owners to date. First owner was on
the USA Great Lakes and after two years sailed the boat to the
Chesapeake Bay, USA.
The second owner was a U.S. Congressional
Electronics Lobbyist who lived on the Chesapeake Bay area and
he sailed the boat on several extended trips north to the state
of Maine, and south to the Bahamas.
I have owned the boat since
2006 and have sailed it all over the Chesapeake Bay, to Bermuda,
to BVI (many islands), Anguilla, St. Thomas, St. Barts, Antigua,
Nevis, St. Kitts, Sint Eustacious, Panama, Galapagos, French
Marquis, Cook Islands, Tonga, and on to New Zealand.
Sold once recently but buyer could not
sell home due to economic down turn and could not consummate
purchase.
Damaged in early 2008 when a certified
mooring line broke after a week of 120 Km. Per hour winds. The
boat drug through a congested harbor, washed into a shallow area
in early morning hours and rolled on side as tide went out. The
boat took on some water and as a result NZ Insurance replaced
the engine, batteries, rewired the boat, recertified all of the
electronics, replaced the heaters, pumps, and in fact took the
entire boat apart inclusive of the keel and reseated it. So as a
result of this accident the boat is literally up to date on all
technologies, all safety issues, and in fact is substantially
better than when new in 19XY
